Medical School programs
As part of our commitment to lifetime care, the Family Medicine Clinical, Education, and Research Programs strive to provide an advanced, hands-on education that prepares the next generation of family medicine physicians, beginning with our medical school programs.
Our graduate programs coordinator ensures that doctors are matched with programs that suit their interests, whether they are working with underserved populations in a rural area or a large practice in an urban facility.
Our researchers are dedicated to providing advanced care to patients through research initiatives that range from smoking-cessation techniques to finding new methods for patient-physician communication.
Located on VCU’s MCV Campus, our physicians at the Nelson Clinic provide continuing care to patients in conjunction with other VCU Medical Center departments.

Department of Family Medicine and Population Health physicians provide comprehensive care to patients at the Hayes E. Willis Health Center in South Richmond.
