Personal Interests/Hobbies:
I love hiking, running, reading, writing, and crafting. I am usually reading one fiction and one nonfiction book at a time. The mountains are one of my favorite places to be, in particular the Appalachian mountains. I enjoy traveling and am so grateful whenever I can learn from and experience different cultures and environments.
Medical Interests:
I am interested in learning more about practicing medicine in underserved areas. I want to learn more about increasing access to healthcare and how Family Medicine can address social determinants of health. I am interested in both rural and urban medicine, as well as international relief work.
Personal Statement:
I enrolled in fmSTAT because I want to contribute to and learn from a group of people with a shared goal of excelling as Family Medicine Physicians, in order to best serve our communities.
