rural medicine, emergency medicine, addiction medicine, enhancing health literacy, rewriting the hidden curriculum of medicine/medical education

Personal Statement:
As a future family physician, I am fortunate to work with patients of all ages, from all backgrounds, and with problems of varying acuity. To be trusted to chip away at what ails with medicine, with implements, or—most commonly—with listening ears is a privilege.
