As a specialist who provides opiate use disorder care within VCU, Dr. Suzanne Giunta, M'16, was invited to serve on a panel with Rahul Gupta, MD, Director of the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy. The panel met with Dr. Gupta to show him VCU's current systems and treatments for opiate use disorder, and they learned about the White House missions for fighting it.
For Dr. Giunta, the Medical Director of Family Medicine's Hayes E. Willis Health Center, this care is important to her work both there and at MOTIVATE, VCU's addiction medicine clinic, where she practices once a week.
