More than 150 physicians from VCU Health have been honored by Virginia Business in their inaugural Virginia's Top Doctors list, and we are proud to announce that two of them are from Family Medicine!
Dr. Giancarlo Pierantoni and Dr. Michael Pitzer, both physicians at VCU Health Primary Care at Mayland Medical Center in Richmond's West End, were nominated and chosen by their colleagues. After reaching out to 10,000 medical professionals across the Commonwealth, Virginia Business compiled a list of over 6,300 nominees from across 60 different medical specialties. Just 1,163 of these nominees made the final list.

We'd also like to congratulate Dr. Bill Kerns, a faculty member at the VCU Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency and member of our Family Medicine Research Team, and Dr. Mike Petrizzi, a founding partner and residency director of Hanover Family Physicians, for their Virginia's Top Doctors honors as well.
